This game is almost identical to the Caesar -series. Sinerma 00:16, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Its actually also almost identical to the early Stronghold and Stronghold 2 series by Firefly. Even down to the military and resource gathering campaigns. Once Ive played some more of the game itself Ill see if I can update it some -Trjn 05:57, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately Caesar ain't freeware, but check it out, it's identical except for the graphics being 3D in CivCity. Also the research -option is new, but everything else from buildings to warfare is the same. Nevertheless, it's better than average building game in my oppinion.Sinerma 21:08, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Although it is similar in some ways to Ceasar 3, it's definatly far from identical. It looks very different and the game dynamics are very different also. About the only similarity I found between it and Ceasar 3 was that they are both based upon ancient rome, but that's kind of inevitable really.

Historical Inaccuracies edit

The fact that the name "Caesar" is used an appellative for the player it's acceptable in my opinion, as it's not an historical inaccuracy: note that "Caesar" have also an honorific meaning (See Caesar (title)). I think this must be removed from the inaccuracies paragraph. --217.133.103.113 (talk) 15:53, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Turn based/RTS edit

Does anyone know if CivCity is turn based or real time? Skinrider 20:08, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I think, but I'm not 100% certain that it's RTS. I can't really imagine how you'd make a turnbased city builder when your not up against a competing element. That said, I could be very very wrong. S.Skinner 22:51, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

CivCity is a city builder it's not a RTS, but it is real time.

It is real time but you can pause it.

The article seems rather fawning right now, but that's inevitable until we get our hands on some proper hard data. --Kizor 15:49, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah the game is in real time. You can speed it up quite a bit as well. It's a complete bitch to play at the moment though - I'm guessing they'll patch it soon Trampled - talk 20:06, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Though I like the game a lot, the text appears simply to have been copied from the original CivCity-website and thus lacks the necessary distance of objectivity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.48.8.22 (talk) 16:42, 5 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikilinking edit

Some of the wikilinks are grossly unrelated. - Anonymous Dissident 10:51, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Badly written sections edit

The gameplay and features sections read like advertisements for the game. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.77.135.199 (talk) 17:10, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
