let the games begin?

edit

I un-redirected this page from the Flaw page due to the recently announced solo project of Chris Volz. Currently it is a stub, so feel free to add on. Shatterzer0 03:02, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

You beat me to it Shatterzer0, I was supposed to do this a while back but I forgot. Anyways I wikified the article. I think the current stub could be expanded to at least a start grade. --Leon Sword 03:48, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removed Foundation

edit

I took the sentence about his band being Foundation and the reference in the infobox out. The band that was Foundation has retrieved the Flaw handle. 149.72.63.233 (talk) 17:11, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removing Unfounded, Uncited Statement

edit

The statement that Chris caused the FLAW reunion to break up is uncited and only a rumor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.184.240.68 (talk) 21:05, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Requested Merge

edit

Chris Volz doesn't have independent notability. Flaw being notable and Five.bolt.main being marginally notable doesn't make him notable. Yes, he did have a solo album, but it sold a meager 700 copies and failed to chart on any official charts. It seemed pretty clear-cut, he fails WP:NBAND and the WP:GNG in general. (The article is almost entirely sourced by Youtube or Facebook right now. Not acceptable.) Sergecross73 msg me 15:36, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Keep I would argue that he does have WP:GNG. You have an interview with ballbuster music [1] (note that this is a now defunct music website/magazine and not a blog that it is now). You have a blabbermouth article [2], you have a review of his album [3], a short bio on a radio station [4] (note that it has no mention of Flaw). Also, yahoo has him listed as his own artist page [[5]]. The fact that his solo album sold only 700 copies (note it's in the first week) doesn't remove the fact that he has been the subject of many independent sources including a review by allmusic [6].-- Everyone Dies In the End (talk) 20:56, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Good source searching, I won't push for a redirect anymore. The article just needs a ton of clean up tags then. Sergecross73 msg me 21:04, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. "Everyone Dies In The End" kept on changing my edit to a "Requested Move" against my will, despite my comments on his Talk page and here. I didn't want it to turn into an edit war, even if he was in the wrong, so I just left it. Figured someone like you would come along and say something like you just have. • I support this page being merged with the Flaw page. Nearly all of the information on this page is already on the pages of his other music projects and I'd venture to say that 95% of people who have heard of Flaw or 5BM would not recognize his name if they heard it (no independent notability). This is coming from a huge Flaw fan, so no anti-Volz bias here. -hsxeric (talk) 23:35 16 February, 2013 (UTC)
  • I'd argue to keep the page so that Fans of Flaw, 5BM, and Volz can see what he has been up to since Flaw's hiatus (2004-2012). notably: collaborations with other artists, his acting debut (see: his Facebook), and his solo album. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.188.24.247 (talk) 04:15, 17 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'd argue a merge. There's nothing on this page that suggests anyone knows who he is outside of flaw and there isn't anything notable that he has done other than release a solo album. A merge would be welcomed. The page hasn't been edited to add any more information on Volz, and I doubt any more information will be added as I've said above, nothing has been added to his biography.
