Disambig? edit

Does this merit a disambiguation page with the show, the real China Beach in Vietnam, and Golden Gate NRA as the targets? Rlquall 02:28, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Circular link edit

"For the historical Vietnamese beach of the same name, see China Beach." Leads to a list of worldwide beaches, and the China Beach link in that list leads back here to the TV show. *IS* there an article on the actual China Beach in Vietnam? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.128.8.150 (talk) 13:52, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

"We gotta get" a ref... edit

Did the show really use the 1980's version of this song, with Katrina and the Waves?! Did it not use the original by The Animals, which was very popular during the War? Maury Markowitz (talk) 17:53, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, found my own... Maury Markowitz (talk) 17:54, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
My soundtrack credits read: "Katrina and the Waves with Eric Burdon" Meters (talk) 03:12, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
If you check the source for the DVD collection, it should be "Eric Burdon with Katrina and the Waves". This is how it should be listed as the company's legal team had spent a year clearing the rights to hundreds of copyrights for the songs. — Wyliepedia 09:56, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

The real China Beach in Vietnam edit

There isn't a real beach called China Beach in Vietnam. It was just a nickname by the geographically challenged American soldiers. Pass it on. 71.133.155.169 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 01:38, 4 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Only enemy combatants called it CHina Beach because they were high school dropouts who didn't finish their geography class. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.133.213.80 (talk) 01:15, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Original novel and author edit

I'm surprised there isn't a page dedicated either to the original novel Home Before Morning (1983) or its author, former U.S. Army Nurse Lynda Van Devanter. Do we know anything else about her? Valetude (talk) 21:05, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Character ranks edit

In the episode “Hello, Goodbye (Part 2)” the character of Bunsen introduces herself to Garreau as a SPC4, not a private. In a number of episodes Beckett is wearing the insignia of a SPC5 (E-5). Is there some other canonical source for listing Bunsen as a private and Beckett as a SPC4? Circumspect (talk) 01:17, 3 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Cherry White chronology off edit

RE "she comes to China Beach to search for her brother Rick, a Marine Infantryman, who was reported MIA after the Battle of Khe Sanh. She dies midway through the second season during the Tet Offensive in January 1968." Tet started Jan 20, 1968 Khe Sanh started Jan 21, 1968. Cherry White is dead by Jan 31, 1968

So she found out her brother was MIA, joins the Red Cross, gets trained and sent to Nam, and dies; all within a 10 day span? No way. 57.140.32.49 (talk) 13:42, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
