As expected, Barium salts give apple green, and Strontium give red. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.161.144.145 (talk) 12:10, 24 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal edit

There is a November 2019 proposal to merge Chemical gardening here; while the two article explore the topic with quite different focusses, my feeling is that the verb and the noun are discussing an overlapping set of topics best discussed together. Klbrain (talk) 21:07, 12 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

The Chemical garden is an experment growing silicates. Chemical gardening says its about "biological-looking structures" ... "to mimic biology.". The former is named garden because it looks like trees growing, not because it tries to mimic Nature at all. The latter could be merged into an article named Artificia/synthetic something (e.g. see Category:Synthetic biology). Christian75 (talk) 10:09, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I've deleted the unreferenced synthesis More simply, forming natural minerals to mimic biology; any objections now to a merge? Klbrain (talk) 07:49, 13 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
