Another music video?

edit
I saw a different video (from YouTube, I believe). The video had the wig inpersonating Sia, wondering around and drinking with the lyrics. Is that an official video since there is no mention of it? Is there such thing as YouTube-only video? 82.141.95.243 (talk) 05:59, 17 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
This video (unlike the official video) represents the story of the song. Jim Michael (talk) 21:22, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • You may have noticed that in many music charts this song was in the first place! Worth mentioning and it is...

Music video

edit

Yes theres a problem: the descriptiion of the video is misleading. The dancer is not in an empty room, she passes through a three room flat, furnished sparsely. The signs of life are the telephone and four coasters on the coffee table , masses of notes 'n drawings on the refrigerator, and artwork on the bedroom walls, especially two portraits of depressed people. This is the result of excess drinking.Maddie the dancer does not try to hide in the thin, unlined drapes, she comforts herself for a moment. She is a strong and carefull dancer; note despite playful exuberance every major move falls exactly on the beat of the music.Oba Devi (talk) 21:36, 20 June 2014 (UTC)Oba DeviReply

"deserted" does not mean "empty", it means that the room does not have any people, but only the dancer. Simon (talk) 02:28, 21 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Problem with the New York magazine quote

edit

This portion "The dancing was quite odd, but Maddie made it look good. If I ever did it, people would laugh so hard! Maddie is representing a young Sia. When Sia was little, she was kind of antisocial, and this video basically represented her." Isn't coming from Maddie, it's referring to her, and isn't in the article that the first part of the quote is from. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.0.225.85 (talk) 02:25, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

"works done by"

edit

Re "works done by Rihanna," done = sung? And/or written? (Just flagging for clarification.) --Chriswaterguy talk 15:04, 16 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Denmark sales of Chandelier is listed at 2,600,000, while total sales in the United States is 3,000,000. One of these figures must be misquote. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 32.211.87.241 (talk) 20:51, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Controversy

edit

Couldn't this page use a "Controversy" section? Even without looking, I'm sure people have criticizing the video for being lightly veiled child porn. Hagiography is not NPOV, you know? -- Doom (talk) 22:50, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Standalone controversy sections are frowned upon, but I'm surprised there's not much mention of it at all in this article. >> Lil-unique1 (talk)20:05, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
