I'll take up this review as part of the chain of Paralympians submitted in past few days. I mainly focus on copy editing issues. Given the size of these articles the GAR itself should not take too long so I will leave down some initial comments on these articles within 48 hours. I'm sorry if I'm reviewing too many of your articles, Hawkeye! Jaguar 23:18, 13 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Initial comments edit

Lead edit

  • " He was the youngest competitor at the Games from any country." - assuming he is the youngest competitor in the Paralympic games and not the whole Olympic games? I've addressed this point myself so it says "He was the youngest competitor at the Winter Paralympic Games from any country." but you can revert this or change it if you don't think it's right?
    • The Olympics and Paralympics are two separate things, although they had the same organising committee this time. The youngest Olympian at Sochi was Germany's Gianina Ernst, who is nearly a year older. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:09, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Other than this, the lead complies per WP:LEAD.

Career edit

  • "His Winter Paralympics path began in 2011 when Peter Baff, the head coach of Perisher's Winter Sports Club alerted Peter Higgins, Australia's Paralympic snowboard team head coach, of his ability even though he was not tall." - was he not tall enough? Is there a height limit in skiing or would his height bring a concern to affect his ability to ski?
    • No, there is no height limit. Normally you will chose a snowboard based on your height. But this creates problems for tackling the course which is for a regular sized board. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:09, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • "In 2014, he is 150 centimetres (59 in) tall," - this should be converted into feet/metres
  • "He was the youngest competitor at the Games from any country" as said in the lead section, would "He was the youngest competitor at the Winter Paralympic Games from any country" sound better?

On hold edit

If all of those issues can be addressed to, this article should have no problem with passing the GAN. This article is small and compact, so most of the prose is good and there are very little points to make as there are no problems in the references either. I'll put this on hold for the standard week. You're nearly done on promoting every Australian Paralympian to GA! Jaguar 20:55, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Close - promoted edit

I'll keep these brief. All issues addressed. The article now meets the GA criteria. Well done! Jaguar 21:27, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
