Changes

Among other things, I changed this page so that it said that the school did not formally organize until 1933. The original page in Spanish says it "organized until 1933," but I don't think that makes sense in Spanish either. I think they left out a word in the Spanish, and the mistake was preserved in the translation, but I would appreciate confirmation of this. --Cromwellt | Talk 00:45, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

Your interpretation's correct. The Spanish is ok, too -- where hasta is used with the sense of no fue sino hasta. –Hajor 01:06, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

How about merging this article with the "UANL" article?

Name change

I would propose changing the name of the article to Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León since all articles but the UNAM in Category:Universities and colleges in Mexico are listed under its official (Spanish) name. --Vizcarra 00:04, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León → Autonomous University of Nuevo León – This is the form of the name listed in the opening. The general consensus seems to be to translate words that have essentially the same meaning in English and Spanish, such as autonomous and university. The practice is to not translate Nuevo in Nuevo León. John Pack Lambert (talk) 12:21, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
