Regarding 12/24 Edits edit

To whomever edited out half of the page:

The Tekken series does not have many solid "facts" about characters, per se. Much of its storyline (such as the Devil Gene entry, is based upon observations and guesswork made by fans of the series. As Asuka has only been in one game (and one revision), her parallelism to Jun Kazama cannot have many facts to support their theories, thus making it possibly theory rather than simple fancruft. However, at the same time, this is true for half of the cast. I don't see the point in editing out all of that information and then rewording it with your own text. I originally made the change from Miko uniform to Aikido uniform because her bio makes no mention of her being a miko, nor does it state that her family runs or is associated with a Shinto temple. Also, her alternate custom does not bare the traditional colors of a miko (white and red), where as it does for an Aikido uniform (white and black). Also, if you go the Tekken Official website and look up her bio (http://www.tekken-official.jp/tekkenps2/characters/asuka_e.html) when you scroll through the story data scenes you'll notice that the practitioners of her family's dojo are dressed in Aikido uniforms like her alternate costume. - Raishin

I personally don't see why it's a big deal. I added the Miko note in the first place because the two uniforms are rather similar. The hakama page even notes that traditional Aikido and Miko uniforms are nearly identical aside from color. In fact, it also states that the hakama is RARELY worn for the purposes of Aikido. But, since you were technically correct, I didn't edit out your change. I just added to it. Basically, I don't see what it'll hurt providing informtion on both. Hmmm, well, when you put it like that, I guess it wouldn't hurt to put info on both. No worries then. - Raishin

Related To Whom??? edit

How do we know that Asuka is Jin's cousin? We don't even know if she is realted to Jin or Jun!!!!
Though I have trouble finding the exact source, Namco supposedly officially stated that she is Jin's cousin. What we DON'T know is if she's a first, second, or distant cousin. King Zeal 22:50, 25 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Asuka's secret costume edit

If I recall right, the costume Asuka wears which reveals a lot of cleavage and leg with a tattoo on, with a tied hairstyle was designed by Oh!Great of Air Gear, Tenjou Tenge and other manga. Other famous artists, though I don't recall their names, helped designed Jin's, Ling's, and Anna's secret costumes.

If you can provide a source, that would be good info to put in the article. King Zeal 19:57, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

i saw the tatoo too but what does it say? -(guest)

Try reading the article. King Zeal 19:57, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Which button do you press to get this costume(the geisha one) and how did you unlock school girl Asuka?? MemoriesOfThePast2

The "Circle" button. Both the geisha outfit and the schoolgirl outfit can be purchased in the "Customize" mode for 500, 000 G. Press the "Triangle" button to fight in it. In Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, these costumes are available at the start of the game. Again, press the "Circle" button to get the geisha outfit, and press the "Triangle" button to get the schoolgirl outfit. JunKazamaFan 01:51, 15 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Her Name edit

The trivia section of this page says the name Asuka means "flying bird of the open space" or something, but it was always my understanding that the name Asuka means "tomorrow's frangrance", in reference to flowers. I have seen this meaning given on many different Japanese babynames websites. 80.41.14.187 02:30, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Asukat5dr.jpg edit

Image:Asukat5dr.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Recent "Edits" edit

Someone completely ruined the first portion of the article, replacing the "Tekken 5" portion with German jibberish and something that looked like basic HTML experimentation. I believe I restored the article to a point "pre-vandalism." If anything useful was in that information, feel free to add it again, but don't butcher the page format.

Could someone please add any picture of Asuka? Make sure it has fair use rational so it won't be deleted. Thanks. Captain | contribs 10:45, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
