comment edit

Infobox should be only about the Arabs living in Mexico not about the entire arab ethnic group. Also, according to the listed source, there are not 400,000 mexicans of arab ancestry but rather 400,000 arabic speakers in Mexico.

I never knew why this comment was removed from the article, it had a legitimate source (Discovery Mexico) and was on the topic about Arab contributions to Mexican cuisine: Immigration of Arabs in Mexico has influenced Mexican culture, in particular food. Where they have introduced Kibbeh, Tabbouleh and even created recipes such as Tacos Árabes. The fusion between Arab and Latin food, has highly influenced the Yucatecan cuisine.[1] Somebody please explain it and how can the edit can be restored, whoever done this is censoring the article by an unwarranted removal of relevant information. + 71.102.11.193 (talk) 04:34, 30 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Bad sentence edit

"Only a few speak any mainly Arabic" I'm guessing only one of these words is supposed to be there. TFighterPilot (talk) 18:31, 31 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Actually, it's well beyond the issue of a bad sentence. Virtually all of the content of this article is WP:OR (including the amount of intermarriage; how much Arabic is or isn't spoken by descendants; the number of people of Arabic descent). There are no reliable sources used for any of this speculation. Certainly, there is no source for the 1.1 million figure given for the number of people of Arabic descent. The meanderings on Arabic names is WP:UNDUE and original research. In essence, the article consists of only enough sourced content to par it back to a stub. For the moment, I've tagged it for original research and the need of reliable sources. If these fundamental requirements aren't met soon, I'll be removing the large chunks which read as someone's personal opinions/essay on the subject. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 04:10, 1 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
