Noticed this on the Goemon (series) page:

Monoshiri Ojisan (物知りお爺さん?, lit. "The Wise Old Man"): A brilliant genius of clockwork machines who lives deep in Iga. Although a good fellow, he is also a big pervert. This trait was bowdlerized for the American release of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, however: instead of collecting hentai magazines, he collects car magazines (the "Mystical Ninja starring Goemon" anime series however still depicts Monoshiri as a flirtatious girl-crazy old man).

I could only find one anime, this one, so I linked that phrase to this article, but I don't actually see the phrase in quotes represented here. Has this anime ever been called "Mystical Ninja starring Goemon" anime series instead of "Legend of the Mystical Ninja" ?

Or perhaps the quotes is meant to mean that AGG is an adaptation of the MNSG game? I can see it as they came out in the same year, the game in August 1997 and the anime in October 1997.

How come the anime is named after the earlier SNES game instead of the N64 game it immediately followed? 184.145.18.50 (talk) 18:16, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
