I request the removal of Governor-elect of Kentucky until the recount is over as the race is going into a recount and there is a possibility of him losing the election 64.222.180.90 (talk) 19:03, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Kentucky law actually doesn't permit a recount for a gubernatorial election. What's being conducted is a recanvass, which has no mathematical possibility of reversing Beshear's margin. SS451 (talk) 03:54, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

Official Photo: Consensus?
Hello All, This is the photo linked in his official governor website (governor.ky.gov) as a downloadable file. I'm not an expert on the copyright status of government officials' portraits that are put on their websites, but if it isn't, I'd recommend having this as the lead image. - Actually, taking a second look, this ref does not work. It violates Wp:synth, which has plagued much of the article, leading to proper deletions of text it supported. Can you find a non-synth ref? If not, the text should go, and we should rely on a link to a well-written article on the subject for extraneous clarity that doesn’t violate synth. - Thats not quite what synth says. If it were, all manner of helpful synth deletions made by user:Neutrality here would not be made, because they don’t meet your test of “creating novel conclusions”. - I disagree; to cherry-pick a single date from the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic is WP:UNDUE. One would need to discuss the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the national and worldwide steps taken to respond to it which caused much of the unemployment, and resulting changes in the unemployment rate as pandemic measures change. Unemployment in Kentucky is now 4.2 percent and that would need to be discussed as well. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 20:31, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
- I agree with adding the current rate, while also reflecting where that stands nationwide as in the original reference (while also keeping the prior material). That's certainly also keenly relevant. I don't see your point to be fair about the pandemic here. The entry you deleted is of interest to readers I believe not because of the rate itself, but because of where it stood at that time during his tenure relative to other states. That's the key point of interest. And it hooks in directly because it relates to what his economic goals were. The same points of course relate to the most recent such statistics during his tenure. But, in short, both relevant, and relevant irrespective of cause insofar as they relate to standing vis-a-vis other states.
