Dubious flight number

edit

None of the references provided support that the flight number was “6833”.--Jetstreamer (talk) 23:07, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Information differs from available sources

edit

The article says: "On day two of the hijacking the Alpha group stormed the aircraft and arrested the surviving hijackers. The incident claimed the lives of three crew members, two passengers and three hijackers", while according to russian sources (http://svpressa.ru/society/article/344/) the shootout was started by hijackers immediately on the hijack. Inspired by reception of Brazinskas violent escape as "heroic" the hijackers used violence too. According to the source, A.Solomonia was killed and A.Plotka and A.Gvalia were wounded by hijackers immediately on hijack, as they considered them to resemble disguised security personnel. Right after that hijackers invaded the cockpit and ordered the flight course change. The crew declined, which resulted in hijackers shooting and killing Z.Sharbatjan and A.Chedia to enforce their demand. As a response, crew officer V.Gasojan shoot and killed hijacker G.Tabidze and wounded hijackers K.Iverieli and I.Tseriteli. This allowed crew to reoccupy and lock the cockpit, and take the plane to Tbilisi. As a response remaining hijackers started a bloodbath in the plane, as a result of which flight attendad V.Kurtikova was murdered, and A.Melieva, E.Shalutashvilli, I.Khimich, I.Kiladze, I.Inaishvili, I.Kunderenko were wounded. According to the source, during the actual storming of plane only D.Mikaberidze was killed.

This is very different from what is described in current version of the article, and current version has no quotations that would prove that casualties occurred while special forces were storming the plane, and not during the hijack shootout.

As a result, the article seems to present a very biased opinion on the events. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ArchSaur (talkcontribs) 18:13, 15 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
