External links

This article should have NO external links, in my opinion. It's too difficult to remove spam external links here, and a list of examples that includes some and excludes others is probably not very legitimate or accurate. If someone disagrees with this, please start a discussion here, rather than adding more links to the page. For now I'm removing them all. Mangojuice 20:58, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

I agree that links to ad networks is not appropriate. However, there are some sites that may be appropriate to link to here. For example,Advertising Networks is a resource to help advertisers find and discuss ad networks. Another example is http://www.imediaconnection.com/resourceconnection/adnetwork.asp, this site provides a list of ad networks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.177.15.206 (talkcontribs).

"Large" networks

I've attempted to pair down the list....seems like some "not-so-large" entries have been sneaking in.

  1. BlueLithium appears to be on the small side: http://www.internetadsales.com/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=2581
  2. 7Search - not considered to be "first tier" http://www.payperclickanalyst.com/content/templates/reviews.aspx?articleid=308&zoneid=32
  3. Tremor Network; specializes in video ads. Some Google hits, but could not find any info on it's size.

I assume that the others are first tier (or close) because (1) I've heard of them frequently or (2) I frequently see them in my cookie deletion logs or blocked via Adblock. OhNoitsJamieTalk 19:47, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Suggestion: split list into multiple list. search ad networks, text ad network, 1st tier/2nd tier banner networks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joe159 (talkcontribs) 06:41, 7 November 2006

No List of networks. If it is notable, create an article for it and add it to the category Category:Advertising and Affiliate Networks . This article refers to that category and people who look for networks can find it there. Once you start a list, everybody will add his little network to it and you spend day after day reverting edits. I am going to remove the list of networks from the article. --roy<sac> Talk! .oOo. 10:50, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
