Map of UAE and Bangladesh
editWhy is the map of the UAE and Bangladesh repeatedly being changed to an inferior one that looks mediocre? I even changed the maps so that the actual location map was in the center and it is still being changed. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 13:39, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- @ILoveSport2006: What are you referring by mediocre? Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 14:58, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- The map. You also said the location map needs to be in the center for uniformity reasons, even though the recent editions of the T20 Women's World Cup don't have the location map in the center, so my map had more uniformity. I even changed the map so that the map of the UAE is in the center, yet you changed it back again. Personally, the font on the map you want is tiny and it looks untidy. - 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup would be the most recent event to be considered for uniformity.
- UAE map is in the center; not sure what else you'd expect... It shouldn't be in a header cell, because it's not a header content - MOS:ACCESS.
- Changed the font size now.
- Anything else? Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 06:23, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for changing the font. I just made a few tweaks just now:
- Dubai and Sharjah are both in bold text on the location map
- Made the UAE map bigger (from 250 to 280)
- Made the Sharjah picture bigger to fill in the white space (from 250 to 280)
- Added a space between the the written paragraph and UAE map because it seemed too close together
- ILoveSport2006 (talk) 11:14, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- I've replaced the header cells with plain bold text formatting - MOS:ACCESS. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 12:40, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for changing the font. I just made a few tweaks just now:
- Apart from that, @Bs1jac, Pkr206, Cric editor, Godknowme1, Goodknowme, PEditorS10, Kumarpramit, and MNWiki845:
- The event is moved from Bangladesh to UAE, do we still need to display the map and images of Bangladesh venues? The event isn't taking place there anymore... Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 06:30, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Vestrian24Bio I dont see why the original venue map should be there. Original venues should be described somewhere in the page, but the map is not needed. Bs1jac (talk) 06:47, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- I agree on the removal of the Bangladeshi venues. No one needs to know where the games were originally supposed to be held. Only the real grounds (where the fixtures were held) should be known. Only the UAE venues should be there. PEditorS10 (talk) 06:52, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think the map of original hosting country is necessary here, as it is already moved to new country.Godknowme1 (talk) 07:46, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think that the Bangladeshi map should be there only the UAE map would be fine. Also see 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup where the map of the original hosts is not there Kumarpramit (talk) 08:28, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- The map of Bangladesh venue should be remove. I don't think there need to show the Bangladesh map. There should be only UAE venue map. Thank you Goodknowme (talk) 08:35, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- We should keep the Bangladesh map as it is useful to know what the original venues were in a visual sense. It is on a collapsible collapsed wikitable so unless you open it, it won't appear which I think makes sense. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 10:57, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- @ILoveSport2006 The encyclopedia is on events that did happen, not on what would have happened. A summary in the text of the change of host is sufficient. Bs1jac (talk) 17:11, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
