Rename into 1993 Transair Georgia airliner shootdowns
editSince the company is called Transair Georgia, and since the things that were shot down were airliners, I propose that this article be renamed into 1993 Transair Georgia airliner shootdowns. Opinions? sephia karta 00:10, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Since it was Battle for Sukhumi, city which was rounded by abkhazians troops and only conection with georgian's motherland, and the way to support encircled georgians militas, it is not an accident, was part of war's actions. Could it explained without talk about what was happening in Sukhumi in these moments? --Shliahov (talk) 17:57, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Aircraft not operating for Transair Georgia?
editThe Tu-154 that was shot down was operating for Orbi Georgian Airways and not Transair Georgia, according to Aviation Safety Network Meltdown627 (talk) 01:15, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
Change title into "Sukhumi airliner shootdowns"
editSince the title of this page caused the cancellation of the Orbi tu-154 shot down, i propose to use another title and return to the previous version of the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Danimusio (talk • contribs) 20:24, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
- I moved the page to "1993 Sukhumi airliner attacks", rather than "Sukhumi airliner shootdowns", as one of the aircraft involved was not airborne at the time. Meltdown627 (talk) 22:11, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
