Justin Chien is a Taiwanese-American actor, producer, and writer.[1]. He was born in 1998[2] and studied at the University of Southern California (USC), where he earned a scholarship to USC's School of Dramatic Arts.[1]
Early Life and Education
editChien was part of the BFA program at USC and participated in several stage productions, including a six-hour production of 'The Kentucky Cycle' and a version of 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream'.[1] He also took editing, cinematography, screenwriting classes, and entrepreneurship in film.[1]
Career
editChien made his mainstream acting debut in the Netflix series "The Brothers Sun", which debuted on January 4, 2024.[3] In this series, he played the role of Charles Sun, a Taiwanese triad mobster.[3] Prior to this, he had appeared in smaller streaming projects and several shorts.[1] Some of his notable roles include projects like “Continuum” (2018), “Fine China” (2020), “Endless Yesterdays” (2021), and “Two Sides: Unfaithful” (2021).[4][5]
Personal Life
editOutside of his acting venture, Justin Chien is also a practicing martial arts master. He has practiced Muay Thai for the last 10 years and is a blue belt in jiu-jitsu which he has trained in for the last four.[1]
