Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar better known as Azad Majumdar is a Bangladeshi journalist. who has been assigned as Deputy Press Secretary to the Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Apart from this, he is also one of the members of the five-member search committee formed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the purpose of logical reforms in the sports arena.[7][8][9][10][11]
Early and educational life
editAzad Majumder was born on March 31, 1977 in Chouddagram, Cumilla. He obtained Honors degree in 1999 and Master's degree in 2000 from the Department of Journalism of Dhaka University. After completing his studies, he started his professional career with sports journalism.
Career
editAzad Majumder was appointed as the Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus on 22 August 2024. Earlier, he was working as joint news editor of English daily New Age. He has also worked in several local and international media.[12][13]
Publications
editAzad Majumder's book 'Inside the Pressbox' was published at the 2023 Amar Ekushe Book Fair. In the book, he has highlighted his experience in the journalism career of more than two decades.[14][15][16][17]
