Eastern Catholicism in Georgia

edit

@Marcocapelle: I just created Category:Eastern Catholic priests from Georgia (country) as there appeared to be a viable sub-cat for Eastern Catholic priests by nationality, and Category:Catholic priests is not otherwise sub-divided by nationality. It currently holds two Byzantine Rite Catholic priests and one from the Armenian Catholic Church. Afterwards I came across Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2020 April 25#Category:Eastern Catholicism in Georgia (country), which had merged it (under a former name) on the rationale that there is no official Eastern Catholic church in Georgia.

I was going to recreate Category:Eastern Catholicism in Georgia (country) as a parent over Category talk:Eastern Catholic priests from Georgia (country) and Category:Georgian Byzantine-Rite Catholics, and if created it could also again hold Ordinariate for Catholics of Armenian Rite in Eastern Europe.

Would/do you object to the above re-creations? – Fayenatic London 14:20, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • @Fayenatic london: nice catch, and in principle I do not object, I just wonder whether Armenian Rite would belong under it? Marcocapelle (talk) 14:26, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
    • Thanks. It would match the sibling categories on that article. – Fayenatic London 14:28, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
