It was during his time at St. Augustine’s College[3] that his love for music and performance was affirmed. It was also during this time that he, together with a friend formed the group Replay as a duo. As part of Replay , Zed Ay Kay co-recorded an album SENORITA.  Following the recording of the SENORITA album, Zed Ay Kay embarked on a solo career, releasing a number of singles and experimenting with different genre whiles staying true to his unique style. This culminated in the February 2021 release of his debut solo album VERSATILITY.[4]

The album Versatility was positively reviewed by Ghana Music, which explained that it had several strong songs that may lead him to be more mainstream and was a successful debut album, but thought the album should focus more on themes other than love.[5]
