Zářecká Lhota lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) west of Ústí nad Orlicí, 35 km (22 mi) east of Pardubice, and 132 km (82 mi) east of Prague.

Paleontology edit
In 1880, the first and still the only known Czech pterosaur fossil (now known as Cretornis hlavaci) was found in a nearby quarry.
