Yevheniia Kravchuk (Ukrainian: Євгенія Михайлівна Кравчук; 23 December 1985, Ternopil, Ukrainian SSR) is a Ukrainian politician, journalist and expert in communications and media consulting. In 2019, she was a head of press office of the Servant of the People political party.

Deputy Chair of the Servant of the People faction.[2][3] Deputy Chair of the international committee of the Servant of the People political party. Deputy Head of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Head of the Subcommittee on Information Policy. Head of the PACE Committee on culture, science, education and media and Member of the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination.[4]

Kravchuk was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019.

Early life

Yevheniia Kravchuk was born in Ternopil, Ukraine in a family of doctors.

She graduated from the Institute of Journalism of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Kravchuk is a graduate of the FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange Program) and she studied in the United States.[5]

Kravchuk worked in management positions in analytical centers, in journalism. She was a producer and screenwriter in a documentary film (Serhii Bukovskyi's film Zhyvi). She was a partner in New Center Consulting.[5] She also participated in the filming of the documentary Spell your name.[5]

Kravchuk was a member of the organizing committee of the Odesa International Film Festival (2010—2014). She worked for the TA Venture fund.

Political activity

She was the head of the press service of the UKROP party, communications director at the headquarters of the Strong Ukraine party and Serhiy Tihipko during the 2014 Ukrainian presidential elections.

In 2015, Kravchuk was a candidate for Kyiv City Council from the UKROP party.

She is a candidate from the Servant of the People party in the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary elections, № 112 on the list.

Kravchuk is the Deputy Head of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party. She is also a Deputy Member of the Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

In December 2019, she became a member of the Humanitarian Country Inter-Factional Association, created at the initiative of UAnimals to promote humanistic values and protect animals from cruelty.[6]

Member of the Ukrainian Permanent Delegation to the PACE[4] and OSCE PA.[7]

In January 2023 – January 2024, she headed the PACE Committee on Culture, Science and Education (submitted under the ALDE quota). Since January 2024, Yevheniia Kravchuk is the Head of the PACE Sub-Committee on Youth and the Society of the Future.[4]

The PACE Author of the Resolution “Justice and security for women in peace reconciliation”[8] and the Rapporteur on “Countering the erasure of cultural identity in war and peace”.[9]

Since the start of her parliamentary convocation, Yevheniia Kravhuk participated in activities in the field of culture and media: In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy worked on the development of the Ukrainian nationwide project on media literacy.[10]

Took part in developing of the State strategy for the reading promotion 2021–2025.[11]

Head of the working group on the systematic improvement of legislation on access to public information and many others.[12]

Since 2022, Member of the National Council for the Reconstruction of Ukraine after the Consequences of the War on Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.[13]

She is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Institute and of the Ukrainian Book Institute under the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.[14][15]

She is a member of the Ukrainian Permanent Member of the United for Ukraine (U4U) platform.[16] Since February 24, 2022, as part of the women’s parliamentary delegation, has participated in a large number of diplomatic visits to the European Union and the United States to promote the interests of Ukraine.[17]

Since February 2023, Yevheniia Kravchuk is the co-chair of the Contact group between the Renew Europe Group at the European Parliament and the Servant of the People parliamentary faction.[18]
