He was born in Irbid, Jordan. Al Khuzai worked in the Prime Ministry of Jordan before resigning from his position and seeking asylum in the United States in 2013.

Political activity

Yazeed Al Rashed Al Khuzai is considered a prominent leader of the external Jordanian opposition and the grandson of the late Prince Rashed Al-Khuzai , one of the pillars of Jordanian resistance during the British and French mandates in Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and the Arab and Islamic worlds.

Al Khuzai leads the political front of the Jordanian Liberation Organization, a Jordanian political movement and intellectual forum working internationally to promote democracy and human rights in Jordan.

The organization advocates for comprehensive political, social, and economic reforms to achieve peaceful change without resorting to violence or bloodshed.

Resignation from Prime Ministry of Jordan

Al Khuzai is notable for being the first Jordanian official to publicly resign from his position at the Prime Ministry of Jordan.

In his resignation speech in 2004, he declared his complete disassociation from the Jordanian regime and called for the establishment of a new Jordan with a democratic, non-monarchical system. This step was unprecedented for any government employee in Jordan.

His resignation letter was addressed to then-former Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and widely published, causing a stir both within the government and among the public in Jordan due to its allegations of political corruption.

Following his resignation, Yazeed Al Khuzai faced pursuit by Jordanian authorities, who sought to silence his voice and opinions on public matters through security, economic, and social pressures.

After his resignation, Al Khuzai was subjected to pursuit by Jordanian authorities, which led him to seek asylum in the United States.

Education

Al Khuzai holds a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Jordan, earned in 1997, and a master's degree in International Business Administration from New York University, obtained in 2006.

Yazeed Al Khuzai has also completed numerous advanced courses in project management, early warning systems, and strategic planning from the United States, the United Kingdom, and various Arab countries.
