XHSCAR was awarded by the IFT on May 23, 2018, and came to air on August 3, 2020.[2] The station operates with personel of both Radio Universidad and Radio KD A.C. [3] In May 2021 the station began airing its program “Ya Hño dega hnini. Voces de mi pueblo” every Saturday at 9AM with the main objective of "promoting the exercise of the rights of boys, girls and adolescents of the Sierra Gorda and Semidesierto zone of the entity".[4]
