- This all happened a week ago, so my memory of the details may be incorrect, as I did not make notes at the time. I don't remember what the subject was either. This is my best guess explanation: I clicked on the link to add one request. The consequences were somewhat unexpected and generally confusing. As a start, I was asked to log in, which was unexpected, as I was already logged in to Wikipedia, then the page that opened had no indication of how I was supposed to fill in the boxes, so I guessed. Then when I thought I was finished, I got no feedback as to whether my application/request had been successfully logged, or any opportunity to check whether it represented what I had intended. I have no idea whether my filling in the boxes had any lasting effect, so I asked if the feature is supposed to be working, because it does not give that impression. - Pbsouthwood, it asks you to log in because technically it's a separate website from Wikipedia, though it uses your Wikipedia account credentials through a system called OAuth (it does not use your password directly). All the more reason to actually build this into Wikipedia. When the request successfully posts it should take you directly to the new request page. Please let me know if that did not happen. I see from the logs that it was [1] which I've marked complete since the task has since been fulfilled. Harej (talk) 10:38, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

I just clicked the "Example request to create a new article" link in the "How it works" section of the project page.
