Students with Potential for a Good Article! edit

Hello students of Professor Strassman! A few of you reached out indicating that you are interested in taking your articles through the peer review process of Good Articles. These are recognized as some of the best pieces of content and writing on Wikipedia! I can't make guarantees, but some of your articles definitely have the potential to meet the requirements before the end of your semester. If you would like some guidance through the process, please do these three things when you get a chance:

  1. Read the Good Article criteria to gain an understanding of the requirements we are trying to reach
  2. Read Emerald ash borer, Psylliodes luridipennis, or Tansy beetle. These are beetle articles that are already GA, and can serve as a template for your articles
  3. Reply to this message with the article you are improving and want to take to GA. I am willing to help anyone, but coordinating here will be easier than doing everyone individually.

Your work has been really stellar so far! I hope you all decide to take your contributions to the next level; your expertise is truly appreciated. Fritzmann (message me) 14:17, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Fritzmann. Thanks so much for helping out. I am hoping to improve the Thistle tortoise beetle article and bring it to GA. Justinxuje (talk) 20:29, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hooray for insect editing! edit

As someone who often edits/writes insect articles, thrilled to see so much action happening here! We can always use help with insect articles, especially coming from people who have access to peer-reviewed science journals. Thanks for your work!

English spelling edit

A reminder, when writing about species from UK & Europe, please remember to use British English spellings (e.g. colour, behaviour), as specified in MOS:TIES - MPF (talk) 23:47, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
