Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red/Music

I have recently uploaded two women musicians/composers: Kyla Greenbaum and Susan Spain-Dunk (both UK based). Flauta111 Flauta111 (talk) 17:31, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Help with redirect, etc. please

edit

Could someone please guide me through the process of doing a redirect? Sometime ago I created the page, Women in punk rock and would like Women in Punk Rock to redirect to it, because if you search Wikipedia with Punk Rock capitalized, it indicates that the page does not exist. I know it's a fairly simple process to create a redirect, but I need a refresher. BTW, also just created a start page on the post-punk band Amanda X for the WikiProject. I'll also create a page for the girl-punk band Frau (band) on the project list. Lastly, if there are any other suggestions for musicians and bands to add to Women in punk rock - especially after the year 2000, I'd appreciate it! My historical knowledge on the subject is mainly from the 1970's to early 2000's. Many thanks in advance! Netherzone (talk) 03:01, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Netherzone Click on your redlink. When it asks if you want to create an article type #REDIRECT [[Women in punk rock]] preview it to make sure it is linking and then save. SusunW (talk) 03:23, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Women in Audio Engineering and Sound

edit

Soundgirls.org is thinking of organizing an wiki edit-a-thon to create more articles of Women in Sound. I would like to make their lives easier by updating the WikiProject with a new section with a title like "Audio Engineers" or something similar, and add names that are notable (that basically fit into the standards already and organize it as already established). I also want to add a couple organizations to the list. I plan on being their Wikipedia-liason and I am jumping the gun on tying this into WiR and the resources that already exist (then keeping track and cleaning up the articles they create later). They don't have a date set yet for their event. Cheers. Lyrelyrebird (talk) 00:57, 10 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
