Thoughts to consider edit

  1. Automating the nom page's creation (either MILHIST-style via project talk page box, AFD-style, or something else). Obviously, it's easier to not need bots. Open to ideas here. (Edit: somewhat automated creation until {{WPVG}} tag is worked out—try it out on the main page)
  2. Renaming this page A-Class assessment or A-Class candidates or A-Class nominations instead of A-Class review. The precedence is that MILHIST does "ACR" and thus that was the name mentioned in Torchiest's feature, but with "review" comes possibly negative connotations. A-Class assessment (ACA) may be a preferable acronym. Thoughts?
  3. Most of the WP documentation refers to "A-Class" (like the Mercedes series) but I believe the correct spelling is "A-class" since it "class" modifies the first word ("A"). Consensus?
  4. Since subpages for reviews is a new step, I stopped at just making the new page, keeping current procedure. We should eventually discuss closing assessments, whether we want specific A-Class criteria. No rush.

Glad to see this is moving forward! I'll post some comments over the weekend. —Torchiest talkedits 22:19, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

(1) Automating nom creation edit

I'd asked Kirill Lokshin about how to set up the process, since he was the one who did it for MILHIST, back in January. The original thread is here; perhaps you can pick up the thread and see if he'll help us out. —Torchiest talkedits 21:44, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

(2) ACR vs. ACA edit

  • Assessment is my preference, and it's inline with the way MILHIST does theirs. —Torchiest talkedits 21:46, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

(3) A-Class vs. A-class edit

(4) Procedure edit
