Sources: Global Good News
The tagline on the Global Good News website is "Good news from around the world". Looking over the site, it's apparent that it is published by the TMM, but the actual relationship does not appear anywhere. According to the "Whois" entry, the technical and administrative contacts for globalgoodnews.com are located at:

That is the same address, though not necessarily the same suite, as the US headquarters of Maharishi University of Enlightenment, Global Mother Divine Organization, and Maharishi Global Administration Through Natural Law. The closest thing to an "About Us" page, "About Global Good News", does not list any personnel, facilities, or affiliations.[1] How should we regard this source? Is it an authoritative and official self-published source for all entities of the TMM and its officials? Will Beback talk 23:37, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Some of it is simply reprinting newspaper and wire service reports from sources such as Reuters.[2] Other parts of it reprint press releases from various TM Movement Organizations, which claim copyright for the material being printed, and indentify the organizations claiming the copyright.[3] The first may or may not involve copyright violations; no idea whether GGN has the right to reprint wire service stores. We should be able to go straight to the wire services for those. As for the others, they should be treated like any other press release from any other organization. If it was picked up by a reliable secondary source, great. We should use the secondary source. Otherwise, these are basically self-serving primary sources written by flack weasels, no different from the press releases written by flack weasels at any other organization. One difference: I've never seen another organization claim copyright on its press releases. Bizarre; it almost guarantees that noone with reprint it, which is exactly the opposite of what press releases are intended to do. We can use them for what the organizations claim about themselves, carefully identifying that the source is a self-published press release not picked up by any other reliable news source. - Good research. I'm not sure quite what the Maharishi University of Enlightenment is, but the pictures on their minimal website only show women. In any case, MUE and GGN appear to be an official entities of the movement, and GGN should probably be considered an official source for the overall TMM. Will Beback talk 01:29, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

- I don't know if you are interested in unsourced but neutral personal knowledge, but Global Good News is definitely part of the TMM, as is the Country of World Peace and Maharishi Open University (MOU). Historically, the TMM was amateur and happy with that status. Frequently, professionals in various fields would offer their services, but the TMM typically would use them only if they were really needed (example: the professional MUM Press and all of its predecessors), or just to humor them or keep them happy. Universities and other organizations were set up as initiatives from MMY or by individuals with his blessing; I, not a professional, attended the first meeting to discuss forming a University (called MIU), representing either physics or mathematics, I forget which). TMM organizations and projects took some time to reach professional status, and some may remain amateur operations. The desire was to do whatever was acceptable to society to spread TM and improve the world, with the understanding that not much effort was needed. This attitude of restful creativity (which may actually be the best approach when dealing with something natural that helps the world) may be at the root of both the disinterest in professionalism and the great interest in setting up a variety of projects and organizations. Transcendental Meditation movement articles have been selected for the Wikipedia 0.8 release
Version 0.8 is a collection of Wikipedia articles selected by the Wikipedia 1.0 team for offline release on USB key, DVD and mobile phone. Articles were selected based on their assessed importance and quality, then article versions (revisionIDs) were chosen for trustworthiness (freedom from vandalism) using an adaptation of the WikiTrust algorithm.

I keep forgetting about this project. In any case, it may be old news by now but we now have an article on the Golden Domes of Fairfield, Iowa. It's as complete as I could make it, but I'm sure that there's more to add if sources could be found. Will Beback talk 09:07, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
