My thoughts - this looks excellent.
- I'm happy to volunteer as a co-ordinator.
- Lets try to advertise it in Signpost. Project members can also advertise it by having a link on their signatures.
- We could have the Malaysian barnstar of national merit as a prize for editing a large number of articles (say, 20). --Mkativerata (talk) 21:24, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- There needs to be some sort of edit guideline. It can't be "oh I changed a typo/word, gimme barnstar". I hesitate to give a numerical limit, but also to give a value judgement. Ideas? Chipmunkdavis (talk) 09:48, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
- @Mkativerata Thank you. :) I think we need a timetable for this.
- I left a note about the barnstar in the project page. I don't know if anyone will copyedit 16 or more articles! Malaysian articles are pretty horrible, I would say.
- @Chipmunkdavis Maybe we should have reviewers to check on the edits they make? Here's another idea, we could also have a guideline as to how much an articles has to be improved before a barnstar is given.

- Malaysian articles are absolutely terrible, no offense to anyone. I'm not sure whether copyediting will improve them that much though, what they most need is information. Some, like Sarawak and Sabah (ones I've looked at) could use copyediting, but they still could use more information.
- As for "How much an article has to be improved", that I feel is once again arbitrary. However, I think reviewers should be able to tell whether the edit was a sincere copyedit, and not some halfhearted attempt to be in this drive. Any objections could be discussed I guess.
