Not sure where you are talking about mentioning these things. The article will have the detail on its talk page, I assume you mean the project page Wikipedia:WikiProject Lincolnshire which has some sections for putting in the FA, FL etc. Probably missing from there is the DYK details for articles, which probably could be included as per other projects. Assessing Importance

I am concerned that nearly everything is gravitating to 'low', whixh makes the whole scale pointlrss. I notice there was a discussion before about criteria.

Wikipedia:WikiProject_Lincolnshire/Assessment#Importance_scale is not terribly helpful. I'd like to suggest:

People

A strong presumption that any individual or family = Low unless they materially altered the world.

• Any individual of national historical importance, more than 10 published biographies, statues erected = Top
  

e.g. Lord Burghley, Tennyson, Former kings.

• Any individual of national importance, more than 1 published biography = High
  

e.g. Matthew Flinders, Joseph Banks, George Boole, John Harrison

• Any individual resident who is a nationally known Artist, performer, or published Author, and whose work is nationally reviewed = Mid
• Any individual or Families of County-wide significance, founders of county institutions, Unreviewed local Authors or artists with work regularly commercially sold, founders of businesses lasting more than 30 years (or employing more than 100 people for more than 10 years) = Mid
• All other individuals & families, including holders of office, sportspersons, Bishops, Soldiers, Landowning families, inventors = Low

Places

A strong presumption that places known internationally are important, and that places where people live are important, but that names on maps are not enough.
Settlements

• Places with population >25000, with >10 churches or >100 shops or >10 schools = Top
  

e.g Lincoln, Grimsby

• Places with population >10000, with >2 churches or >10 shops or >2 schools= High
  

e.g. Louth, Bourne, Bardney, Brigg

• Places with population >200, Civil parishes with multiple hamlets, places with at least one church or shop or school = Mid
  

e.g. Castle Bytham, Eagle, Hemswell Cliff

• Places with population <50, hamlets that are only part of a parish, places that have never had a shop or school or church, named corners, named suburbs or districts of a conurbation already listed above = Low
  

e.g. Guthram Gowt, Austerby, Spital-in-the-street, Brandy Wharf, Lincolnshire Gate, Scartho
Transport

• Commercial Airports, Ports in international trade, creating >1000 jobs == Top
  

e.g. Humberside Airport, Boston docks

• Commercial ports in coastal trade, canals in commercial trade, canals in active leisure use, former large ports, havens significant to leisure craft & cruising, creating >100 jobs = High
  

e.g. South Holland, Sutton bridge, Brayford pool

• Airstrips, marinas, harbours open to all, creating local employment, canals used by leisure craft, = Mid
  

e.g Dogdyke, South Ferriby

• Private moorings, former canal wharfs, canal locks (former and current), lift and swing bridges, private air strips = Low
• Railway stations on national main lines == High
  

Only two: Grantham and Lincoln Central

• Railway stations in large towns = Mid
  

e.g. Boston, Spalding, Grimsby

• All other railway stations, junctions, infrastructure = Low
  
• Railway lines in use = High
• Railway lines closed = Mid
  

Like the canals they did shape the county.

• Roads with single digit names, Motorways, National dual carriageways = High
  

e.g. A1, M180

• Roads with two digit numbers = Mid, Roman roads still in use
  

e.g. A15, A17, King Street, High Dyke

• All other roads, cycletracks, long distance footpaths, disused Roman roads = Low

Destinations

• Houses owned by the National trust, National nature reserves, Museums of national significance, Beaches with facilities = High
  

e.g, Gibraltar point, Belton House, "The Collection", The Hub, Skegness beach

• Houses open to the public, Nature reserves with visitor facilities, Museums of county significance, beaches without facilities == Mid
  

e.g. Ayscoughee hall, Joseph Banks arboretum, Far Ings, Grantham museum, Anderby Creek

• Local museums, small nature reserves, privately owned attractions, extremely specialist collections = Low

e.g. Pinchbeck engine, Robert's Field, Mrs Smiths house, Spalding Romany museum, Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum
