Improvements planned for Release 2.0 edit

NOTE: User:AshLin may rewrite/reorder your suggestions to make the list as per priority of requirement of features/bug-fixes & to make it more easily understandable to User:YuviPanda.

Major fixes edit

  1. If the talk page of an articles is a red link, the Assessment Bar should appear so that we can choose to add the article to the WikiProject if it fits.
  2. The Assessment Bar must appear & take up permanent residence/real estate at the bottom of the screen, not at the bottom of the article. This is because we were forced to scroll all the way down to the article bottom even if the first few sentences show up what needs to be done.   Done. 10 April 2012.
  3. Recognise redirects/shortcut names for templates. As of now, Assessment Bar does not recognise the templates containing these shortcut names:
    * Template:WP India
    * Template:WPINDIA
    * Template:WPIndia
  4. Assessment Bar edit summary is identical & uninformative no-matter how big or small an assessment is done. It should give better edit summaries as are done by a number of bots in en:WP & Commons.

Minor fixes edit

  1. Regarding the last two controls of Assessment Bar, the "Next article" to be placed to the right with "Save" to be on the left, as our natural action stream is "left to right" & we save before we ask for next article. In the current arrangement, someone may press the next article before the save in which case he loses the work he has just done on the present article and it remains unchanged.
  2. Detect double occurrences of WikiProject India, remove the duplicate template & mark it for attention.
  3. No duplicate subprojects permitted to be added.
  4. Multiple subprojects, where applicable to an article should appear in alphabetical order.
  5. Adding missing sub-projects like, Indian Roads.
One should ideally update Template:WPIndia. I suggested Yuvi that template is single source of truth, looks like its not, can someone add the missing sub-projects into the documentation? Srikanth (Logic) 19:08, 12 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
  1. Add "FL" class to the dropdown menu.
