April 2007 FAWG Space Shuttle Launch Manifest

Hi all, just started a quick tidy-up of the remaining shuttle missions pages that needed altering after the latest manifest was released. Just to make everyone aware so we can do a full cleanup, the April 2007 Manifest is as follows:

• STS-117 - 8/6/07 - Atlantis - S3/S4 Truss segment to ISS
• STS-118 - 9/8/07 - Endeavour - S5 Truss segment to ISS, final flight of Spacehab module.
• STS-120 - 20/10/07 - Discovery - Node 2 Harmony to ISS.
• STS-122 - 6/12/07 - Atlantis - Columbus laboratory module to ISS.
• STS-123 - 14/2/08 - Endeavour - JEM ELM-PS & SPDM to ISS.
• STS-124 - 24/4/08 - Discovery - JEM PM to ISS.
• STS-119 - 10/7/08 - Endeavour - S6 Truss segment to ISS.
• STS-125 - 11/9/08 - Atlantis - HST-SM4 to Hubble Space Telescope. Final flight of Atlantis.
• STS-126 - 9/10/08 - Discovery - MPLM Leonardo to ISS.
• STS-127 - 15/1/09 - Endeavour - JEM EF & ES to ISS.
• STS-128 - 9/4/09 - Discovery - MPLM Donatello to ISS; station crew expansion to 6.
• STS-129 - 9/7/09 - Endeavour - ELC1 & ELC2 to ISS.
• STS-130 - 30/9/09 - Discovery - MPLM Raffaello
• STS-131 - 14/1/10 - Endeavour - Contingency Logistics Flight 1, Docking Cargo Module to ISS.
• STS-132 - 1/4/10 - Discovery - Contingency Logistics Flight 2, ELC3 & ELC4 to ISS.
• STS-133 - 9/7/10 - Endeavour - Node 3 & Cupola to ISS. Completion of ISS, final flight of Space Shuttle.

Is there any online source for that? NASA's official webpage is telling us something different, see here: [1]. There's also a history of an old version, even though it reads that the new version is of 3/2/06 and therefore would realy be outdated by an April 2007 version (which still cannot be found anywhere official). An article about the April 2007 manifest can be found here: [2], but this does not state which orbiter is used (it varies heavily between Endeavour and Discovery) and it is very unspecific about dates, giving us only years (so how would you know STS-133 is launched after STS-132 if there are no dates given? Even though there is some order, that does not mean it's the launching order). So please, if you have any source, give it to us so that we can edit all future Space Shuttle flights correctly out of once source (and not 3 or more like at the moment). I have even found a source at Nasa-Watch [3] that presents a January 2nd manifest with the exact same timeline used at the moment in Wikipedia that does not resemble the one you are giving us here. Once again, I'll be happy if you have any online source for that, or any other source than your word, because otherwise this is original research and we cannot confirm this timeline. Therefore the shuttle missions would have to be ordered in the Jannuary 2nd manifest order. ColdCase 16:58, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

As I have stated on the Talk:STS-133 page, I got the manifest off the L2 section of nasaspaceflight.com, which is a subscription-based service, and if I release a copy of the manifest onto the Internet my subscription will be cancelled. Colds7ream 17:45, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I understand. Still since your resource isn't avaliable for the public we will have to wait until it is avaliable for the public befor we change the wikipedia entries. It's great that you want to update it, but it's simply WP:OR (quote: "The term also applies to any unpublished analysis") because it needs an opportunity for everybody to verificate the source. That's a bit tragic in this case, should the update be reliable. But still it's the rule on wikipedia for a good reason. ColdCase 19:02, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

In an effort to clear up this little mess, I have sent this e-mail to the public enquiries e-mail address at NASA, hopefully to obtain confirmation one way or another. In the meantime, I think the closest thing to the source would be the bottom of [4] Colds7ream 19:55, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, the whole thing's gone down the pan now - with Atlantis not retiring until 2010, the entire manifest has changed - the June 26 one goes up to 125 and is 'Under Review' from there forwards. More info as I get it. Colds7ream 14:36, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
