Copyedit incomplete edit

What to do when 1) copyedit wasn't completed by close of blitz and 2) requesting review of to-date copyedit?

I worked only on Dubbing (filmmaking), which lacks sources and was very repetitive and unorganized when I began. I decided to work first to set up a useful framework and then to copyedit what I could. I didn't even touch the major section "Global use", except to pull sections from it which could be more useful elsewhere.

That article needs expert input/writing, perhaps in tandem with copyediting. I would like suggestions on how to document current work and proceed for future in this particular article. Many thanks! JourneySarah (talk) 05:24, 18 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

First, good work with the article. It is clear that you have put a lot of work into it. Second, I recommend continuing to copy edit as much as you are able, finishing up in early September. You can count the article for the September copy edit drive. Once you're done with it, remove the copy edit tag but leave appropriate tags in place, such as a tag requesting attention from an expert in the field, along with "citation needed" tags where you feel they are needed.
I'll take a look at the sections you have done to date. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:35, 18 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the kudos. I did put a lot of work into it, but it has a long way to go to be useful. Appreciate the "how to" re logging the article itself. JourneySarah (talk) 03:20, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
I reviewed and made a couple of edits the sections that you have spent the most time on. Nice work. You're on the right track.
I will take a look at your changes, many thanks.JourneySarah (talk) 03:20, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
The Global Use section should be split into its own article. And boy oh boy does this article need more citations. Whoever wrote the bulk of it knew a lot about dubbing (or was very good at making things up), but there are no sources for any of the non-US information. As a copy editor, you are not responsible for finding these citations, but do note (as you have done already) where they are needed. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:14, 18 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Did not realize we were not responsible to find citations, though I suspected. Thank you for confirmation.
I will look into splitting the global section off. Do you have any suggestions? This would be the first time for me to start an article. I did look into adding it to the Dub localization article; that article seems too specific to include the global use section with all its details.JourneySarah (talk) 03:20, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
