What's an outstanding request? edit

According to the April Blitz page:

The theme(s) of this blitz is/are:

  • To reduce the number of outstanding requests on our requests page.

While I would like to work on articles within the Blitz's focus, confusion about the phrase "outstanding request" makes it unclear which articles are within the Blitz's focus.

If you can, please let me know what this phrase means.

Thanks!

It means any requested article that is not marked as   Working or   On hold or   Done. – Jonesey95 (talk) 13:43, 16 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the answer, Jonesey95!
By the way, would an article marked with one of the three signs you mentioned be marked only on the April Blitz page and/or the Requests page, or would the article itself be marked somewhere (such as with a topicon or talk page discussion)? I have seen articles marked on both the April Blitz and Requests page, but I haven't seen any formally marked in the article or the article's talk page.
Thanks again for the help! Noah Kastin (talk) 02:02, 17 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
See the "Instructions for copy editors" at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests, especially the last bullet. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:09, 17 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the link, Jonesey95! This should be very useful. Thanks again! Noah Kastin (talk) 05:10, 17 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Should *R be used to tag Requests? edit

To be more speific: If a user has accepted a Request and wishes to log this on the April Blitz page, should the user add *R after the word count of the Request article's entry in the user's section on the April Blitz page? Noah Kastin (talk) 02:06, 18 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

There are no bonus words during blitzes, so there is no need to tag any of the completed requests with anything except the word count. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:11, 18 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Do Requests get an additional 50% tacked onto their word count? edit

I know that they did in the March Drive, but I'm not sure if they do here. Noah Kastin (talk) 02:08, 18 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Note on Pilot (The Flash) edit

I only copyedited the lede of Pilot (The Flash), so I am only counting into my total the word count of its lede (as of when I added the article to my Working list). Noah Kastin (talk) 11:50, 22 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
