Error in instructions? (Totals)

This is my first backlog drive, so I don't want to step on any toes, but I was wondering about this instruction under Totals: If it was tagged in January and February 2021, place *O (using plain text) after the word count. Take the lead!

FYI, there is another editing drive this month at Wikipedia:Take the lead! (entries). Its goal is to work on the backlog of articles tagged for lead improvement, but other articles also qualify (particularly those with very short or very long leads, or leads which do not summarize all of an article's content). If your copy edit includes substantial lead improvement, your improvements to the article may qualify for both drives! – Reidgreg (talk) 14:52, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

Howdy. So I found the article RS-25 in one of the older needs editing sections, I started reading it, but I haven't found a single error yet, and it is also a Good Article. What should I do about it? Prairie Astronomer, if you look in the article's history, you can see that Dhtwiki finished copy-editing it about 14 hours before you posted the above note. It's a good idea to refresh any maintenance list you are looking at before clicking on an article to fix. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:26, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Here are the copy edits that Dhtwiki made. You were correct that the article was in pretty good shape, but almost any article can use a bit of polishing. – Jonesey95 (talk) 21:27, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Only the "Space Launch System" section was marked for copy edit. That's all that I did. I might have done the entire article but didn't have the time. Glad to here hear that the rest of it reads well. There is also the option of placing a {{GOCEreviewed}} template, if the article doesn't need any copy editing (often unofficial copy editing is done after the c/e tag has been placed), as explained here ("If, after examining an article, you find that copy editing is inappropriate or cannot be completed due to other issues, you may consider removing extant {{copyedit}} tags and taking extra actions—like placing {{GOCEreviewed}} on the talk page, deleting inappropriate material, reporting suspected copyright violation and so on."). Timeline of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict in 2007

Howdy. I am planning on editing the Timeline of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict in 2007 article. I am having a little trouble actually finding the word count, even with the Page size script. Ok, I pasted the article into a google doc, unfortunately removed all of the numbers, but did remove citations links and edit links. With all of that removed, the count is 14668 words, which is way lower because I removed every number. Should I use that as my official word count? I ran the "Page size" script on the version just before you started editing, after removing the bullet points by using regular expressions in wikEd, and got 15,165 words. Dhtwiki (talk) 09:18, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for this list. One of the coordinators has the script. I'm pretty sure that our practice has been that rollover words are "use it or lose it", so an editor like BlueMoonset who had no edits for this drive would not get a barnstar for November. – Jonesey95 (talk) 23:37, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
