Bot

edit

Can someone try running the statistic bot for the biography articles? I see that it hasn't updated since February 11 and I have had no luck getting it to finish. --Ozgod (talk) 11:27, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've tried a few times to get the bot to run but it never completes - always stopping around 570 or so. Can anyone try so we can get updated statistics? --Ozgod (talk) 12:16, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
We encountered this problem during the Summer drive as well. We simply have too many articles to run it manually. Unfortunately, you'll have to just wait until the bot gets around to doing it. Psychless 04:17, 23 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Box for userpage

edit

If you would like as well you can add this to your User page: {{User:Ozgod/Spring2008AD}} to display this:

This user was a participant in the Biography Wikiproject's Spring 2008 Assessment Drive.

Thank you to Thereen for creating the template that I cheesily modified. --Ozgod (talk) 11:33, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was just about to ask when the next one of these was. Looks like I'm gonna have some fun the coming months. Wizardman 16:05, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't the userbox say Spring 2008, and not Summer 2008?--Bedford 01:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't it say something other than Spring or Summer, since those seasons are hemisphere-specific and not all Wikipedians live in the northern hemisphere? --Sapphic (talk) 16:37, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Guidance on assessing

edit

Could someone write something based on the feedback last time? Some way to avoid upsetting the people who write short comprehensive articles on obscure historical people. Some of these articles might well be B-Class to those who know more about the person or topic, but assessors should either make clear that they are unsure, or leave such articles to others. The guiding rule should be, if unsure, leave a note on the talk page explaining things, and make clear that subject experts can raise the grade to B-class if needed, without further review. It's not spring everywhere!

edit

Can we please not call this the "Spring 2008" assessment drive? It's not spring in the southern hemisphere. --Sapphic (talk) 01:15, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

60k articles left

edit

We only assessed ~20,000 in 2 in a half months? I actualyl think we're slacking, we need to find more users to help us assess, and we also need to step up our game. Myself included, i had 9k last time yet am not even close to 5k this time. Wizardman 00:52, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

Just redirected Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography/Assessment/Assessment Drive to here, unless it should redirect elsewhere. Could people make sure people following talk page tabs end up in the place where current discussion is happening? Thanks. Carcharoth (talk) 12:25, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The End???

edit

The Drive was to end on June 14th, and it is almost the 17th, and I have seen nothing about the ending of the drive. Is there a problem?--Bedford Pray 20:02, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
