Picking an article

edit

hey MonopterusAlbus, I think that we are supposed to discuss our article here (not on my personal talk page, which is where you posted your last question to me). I guess that frameshift mutation is off the table as a topic...I don't see your articles of interest on our group page. Did you post it somewhere else? Knowing what you're interested in should make the process of selecting an article more efficientWeberOwl (talk) 03:12, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi WeberOwl, I've posted for two pages-- FsrA and dephosphorylation-- but I am very much so open to other topics. I think that because (de)phosphorylation is so central to so many cellular biology topics, it might be the best place to start. Any other ideas are also welcome! I agree that dephosphorylation would be a good subject to focus on. It's an important concept in molecular biology and the article certainly has a lot of room for improvement. I'll modify the group page to reflect this. How do you want to break up the summary of how we reached this decision? Probably should focus on 1) the importance of the topic 2) how the article is currently a stub and 3) some good references that we could use. Looking forward to working with you!WeberOwl (talk) 15:03, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Awesome! I see you've already "claimed" the article on the class site. So we have a topic now. I like the way that you've broken up the summary. I think that we can each contribute to the references, and then each of us can focus on either the current article's shortcomings and improvements necessary to make it a Good Article or the importance of dephosphorylation for our rationale. How about a paragraph each? Which is your preference, between the #1 and #2 you mentioned above? MonopterusAlbus (talk) 03:03, 5 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'll cover the state of the current article. Let me know if you need any help with your part.WeberOwl (talk) 00:54, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hey, I'll setup my sandbox as a place for us to work and move over our list of references.WeberOwl (talk) 03:24, 12 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Haven't heard from you this week. I'm going to start with the outline, feel free to modify it and add some references if you get a chance.WeberOwl (talk) 00:48, 14 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
