Sorting edit

Someone should sort these pledges chronologically, since they all have datestamps, and direct users to place any future pledges at the very bottom (or top depending on how its sorted). -- œ 10:15, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

@OlEnglish:   Done... between 17:58 and 21:11 today.
I also added section headers for each year, and re-instated the invitation for editors to insert their pledges at the top.
I'll now also add some text to invite them to sign their pledges.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 21:22, 5 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Overcapitalisation edit

This is possibly not be the right place to say it but, as a former old-time printing trade proofreader, I have to worry about the large number of wikpedians who believe caps are mandatory for anyone or anything that sounds important to them, e.g., chief executive officers, kings and queens, police sergeants, prime ministers, etc. There are perfectly simple rules for use of caps for words doubling as proper nouns or used in proper names, e.g., Queen Elizabeth II, or the Queen (if that word specifically denotes her), but otherwise she is just one of several queens who've reigned in England. I would appreciate helpful discussion from anyone (whether or not you agree with me) at the talk page for Pipe Major. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 05:22, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Irony in Pledges edit

Has anyone else noticed that some of the pledges are ironic (either intentionally or unintentionally) in that they contain grammatical or typographical errors? --Jackson Peebles (talk) 05:44, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, not relly. Helicopter Llama 01:04, 5 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I was going to make an intentional typo in my pledge. This isn't the front page of the wikipedia. ;) Aisteco (talk) 00:22, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
