Deforestation: causes GW; doesn't cause emissions
edit@Femkemilene: A factual issue is in the sentence, starting "Most emissions come from...". The subject is GHG emissions, which deforestation does not "cause". Deforestation indeed contributes to GW (it removes carbon sinks), but that's not the subject of that particular sentence. I'm not sure if the text can be changed at this point. Overall, I think the blurb is excellent. —RCraig09 (talk) 14:28, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- Forests are stores of carbon. If they get chopped down, that stored carbon gets released, causing emissions. Many younger forests are also sinks, with a net uptake of CO2, but that's beside the point. FemkeMilene (talk) 14:36, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
