Proposing move edit

Per WP:ESSAYS, this should probably be placed in the userspace of the creator, ScienceApologist (talk · contribs) until/unless it proves to be something that reflects a broader consensus of Wikipedians. SA, would you be amenable to such a move? --Elonka 22:22, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think with some additional input it would make a reasonable projectspace essay. —Locke Coletc 00:25, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Sanctions against editors are not punitiveWikipedia:Sanctions against editors should not be punitive – Guideline is more helpful than a description, especially when the latter is inaccurate. Hyacinth (talk) 04:24, 1 May 2014 (UTC) Hyacinth (talk) 04:24, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • I've fixed the request, assuming you don't want to move the essay to WT space. --BDD (talk) 16:31, 2 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support: The fact that the current title isn't true is the entire reason the essay exists!  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  10:12, 6 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • I think this is a good idea. WhatamIdoing (talk) 14:25, 6 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request upgrade to guideline edit

I believe that this essay has earned enough support from the community that it should be upgraded to a guideline.--Mr. Guye (talk) 22:03, 30 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Support, if the interest is building an encyclopedia then this should be paramount over punitive measures that have no inherent benefit for the mission of collecting free knowledge. --Donald Trung (Talk 💬) (Sockpuppets 🎭) (Articles 📚) 20:10, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sanctions against editors should not be punitive edit

What about sanctions against admins? QuackGuru (talk) 19:42, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

@QuackGuru: All admins are editors. No one has passed WP:RFA without making a single edit. (((The Quixotic Potato))) (talk) 20:05, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
