Adminbots segment edit

For inclusion in the next issue: Image:RADWP-Adminbots.ogg. If you're going to be playing it from your speakers to your microphone rather than splicing it in, don't forget to actually download it, as streaming can cause skipping. –xenocidic (talk) 00:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK. I'll put it in mine, however it'll be at 5. StewieGriffin! • Talk Sign Listen 06:57, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Theme Music edit

What is the theme music used at the beginning of the episode? Seddσn talk Editor Review 18:22, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Which episode? –xeno (talk) 18:26, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Issues with copyright music edit

Following concerns about copyright and fair use issues, several episodes were deleted by wikipedia and commons admin User:Maxim. The obvious ones were the use of Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold music and these brought up concerns of copyright with the other pieces of music used. Fair use cannot be claimed outside of the article space on wikipedia. If the music can be replaced with open source music and then uploaded using an appropriate license then they can be reuploaded in the future. Seddσn talk Editor Review 19:34, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I mentioned this concern to RedThunder at User talk:Red Thunder#July 8th RADWP. –xeno (talk) 19:38, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Did you get any response from the message? Seddσn talk Editor Review 20:53, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not as far as I recall. (just checked my talk page - nope, don't think there was any reply) –xeno (talk) 20:54, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Could you please watch any further uploads of radio wikipedia for music and ensure firstly that its copyleft and secondly that there is a source for the music. If copyright music is being used could you also delete it. Seddσn talk Editor Review 21:30, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Shall do, but I'm not a commons admin and most episodes get uploaded there. Can tag for deletion though. –xeno (talk) 21:33, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've also added a note to the project page: [1], but I'm not sure anyone is still creating episodes. –xeno (talk) 21:35, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK I've made some edits that hopefully should clarify some of the issues. Gwynand | TalkContribs 17:21, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Defunct? edit

No new episodes for weeks, looks like Stewie's computer blew up as well. Should some note be made at the beginning of the page? Gwynand | TalkContribs 17:08, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is there a better tag than the historical tag? Gwynand | TalkContribs 17:10, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'd say give it until 8/5, then we'll be a whole month with no episodes. –xeno (talk) 17:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

On second thought, since the last episode that wasn't deleted was nearly a month ago, endorse changes. I simply don't have the time to make full episodes. –xeno (talk) 17:23, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
No! No! We are inactive, not defunct! Shapiros10 contact meMy work 17:31, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Why did we stop dammit?! I WANT MORE EPISODES. Gears of War 2 23:52, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Resignation edit

Hey all. I've decided to resign from RADWP and go off on my own for a new project, that will also be a podcast. Thanks to everyone who was a part of this, it was a great experience for me. RedThunder 18:33, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Don't want to be nasty, but I removed you for violating policy! StewieGriffin! • Talk Sign Listen 19:15, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not to start an argument, but I'd like to notate that some of RedThunder's weren't the only episodes to be removed. As has been stated before, it's unfair for one to place all of the blame on one who doesn't warrant it. Mastrchf (t/c) 20:51, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Where was a consensus to take Red Thunder off for the policy violations? If people get taken off for that, can we take you off StewieGriffin! for the fact that you uploaded several episodes with copyright violations yourself? It's a little hypocritical for you to get upset with Red Thunder when you did it too. Metros (talk) 21:13, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Guys, I don't want this to get incivil or anything, so just keep your cool. I am fine with my own podcast, and would like to see this one move on also. RedThunder 23:42, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Inaudible and undirected edit

The audio quality of these is still terrible.

  • In episode 2-2, the volume gets continuously lower
  • There are constant breathing noises - stop blowing on the microphone! get it out of the path of your breath - you should be talking Over it, not Into it.

On top of that, the entire content is pointers to two urls, both of which are easier to click on, than to hear/comprehend/type in. WP:AGEINADMINSHIP? nope. 3 tries later, Wikipedia:Age and adminship. I couldn't tell whether you were saying Jimmy has "a very strong opinion" or "no very strong opinion".

It's easier to read WP:CBB than to understand the highspeed garble. And not mentioning WikiUpdate as part of the CBB roundup was a bit rude.

It's good that you're enthusiastic, but this seems kind of pointless in its current format. 24.68.159.24 (talk) 17:16, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
