Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers/Backlog chart/doc

Updating edit

To add new data, add a new item under X with YYYY/MM/DD format followed by a comma, as well as a new item under Y with the current NPP backlog of non-redirect articles in mainspace followed by a comma. Note: date should refer to UTC.

The chart should generally have only about 6 months worth of data visible, you can exclude data by putting it within the <!-- --> tags to vary the start date of the chart.

A less frequently updated, but more long-term version of this chart (with no data exclusion) is found at Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers/Backlog chart 2.

Usage edit

A chart of the backlog of new pages (manually updated).

To use, add {{Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers/Backlog chart 2|width=900|height=480}} to the page where you want to display the chart. Width and height can be substituted to display different values. 350x150 is the smallest size supported (due to the x axis titles), though it can be made larger.

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months.

If you want it to display like an image with caption, you can use something like:

{| style="float: right; border: 1px solid #BBB; background: #FFFFFF;
|- style="font-size: 86%;"
| {{Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers/Backlog chart|width=350|height=150|}}Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months.
