EST ≠ EDT edit

@Mattflaschen: I've corrected "EST" to "EDT" in the text and the infobox, on the assumption that you didn't really mean 12 noon—4 pm.* Now what's written there corresponds to what everyone assumes you meant. (Remember "Spring forward, fall back"?)

But that doesn't mean it doesn't matter, because some places don't use Daylight Time, or have different dates for it. (See Daylight saving time#Complexity.) This is, after all, the Worldwide Web, and while it's hardly likely to matter much for a picnic, the confusion could ruin a teleconference, and has done more damage than that. So please be more careful in future.

Probably the best way to manage it for purely local consumption is to leave out the middle letter entirely, using "ET" = "Eastern Time" for the time according to clocks in the Eastern Zone on the date in question. Thanks.

*And it's so confusing I got the shift backwards in the edit summary. (blush)

Where in Penn Park? edit

Where in Penn Park? Perhaps under the trees with a table? --DThomsen8 (talk) 13:30, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

At the picnic grove. I'm walking in now (sorry, I'm a little late). I'm wearing a red jacket and a purple Yahoo shirt underneath. Mattflaschen - Talk 17:12, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

It's at the group of picnic tables, under the trees, right next to the elevated train tracks. Mattflaschen - Talk 17:25, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Guerillero, Thnidu, and DThomsen8: Is anyone else at the park yet? Mattflaschen - Talk 17:40, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Reping Dthomsen8, since above is the wrong capitalization. Mattflaschen - Talk 17:41, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

We're leaving a bit early. Hope to see you all at an event in the future. :) Mattflaschen - Talk 19:55, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Me, too. In the morning I hoped for rain that might cancel my afternoon stint as a tour guide in NYC. No, the forecast looked good, then. After crossing the bridge, surprise, we were rained out. Blah. Jim.henderson (talk) 17:40, 1 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
