Free culture allies?

I disagree, the Free culture movement is described as:

The movement objects to overly restrictive copyright laws. Many members of the movement argue that such laws hinder creativity. They call this system "permission culture".

Actual Wikipedia rules are becoming more and more restrictive and draconian. Fair use is regularly disregarded. I suspect Wikipedia editors will find little in common with this group, so this statement should be removed. Okip (formerly Ikip) 17:40, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well, despite the peculiarities of the fair use system on Wikipedia, Students for Free Culture remain great allies of Wikipedia and related projects, and we should I think make every effort to reach out to them as well :)--Pharos (talk) 03:16, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
