Proposed template change

New tool

Per [1] BC has created basically an NFCC-checker tool that looks very promising and should be easy enough for even a beginner to use (I understand it at least). Could it be incorporated into this page's header instructions? MBisanz ^talk 19:04, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

I've created a template {{BCB}} to assist its use. Obviously, you can you use the template in an edit preview, and you don't have to save. Addhoc (talk) 19:17, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

why was this page created?

Logos

Please, at some point there should be some agreement about the use of logos. Frequently a "robot" will classify them as "non-free images" and eventually delete them. It is the fourth tme I face such an "attack". I have seen dozens of contributors complain about that, too. A logo is a logo, and once this is specified and fair use is claimed, there should be no problem. Some rare logos are extremely valuable info presented in the Wikipedia, and this process is threatening them altogether. Skartsis (talk) 16:15, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Completing merge

I've currently tagged this page as being merged with Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, as the two pages are duplicating and splitting effort and I think the main reason they're still separate is that nobody's gotten around to forcing a merge, yet. :) I'll be retargeting shortcuts in a moment, if anybody sees content they'd like to exchange between Wikipedia:Image copyright help desk/Header and Wikipedia:Media copyright questions/Header, that would be grand. – Luna Santin (talk) 00:33, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
