  • Ref 4 - should be 2009-02-26, not 200902-06 (missing hyphen) - done
  • Ref 11 has "& Co.,.", which looks like two pieces of punctuation too many - done
    • Same at Ref 57 - done
  • Ref 11 has "Alexander Jacob", when it should be "Jacob, Alexander"
    • Same at Ref 21, 24, 33, 38, 42, 43, 47, 55, 59, 62, 63, 68, 74, 75, 77, 78, 91, 96, 103, 104, 107, 119, 120, 122, 123, 133, 141, 155, 161, 164, 165, 176, 178, 181, 183, 191, 195 and probably others that I missed - done
  • Ref 31 needs "format=PDF" - done
  • You give publisher locations for some old books (e.g. Ref 5) but not others - be consistent. Also, you sometimes give the venue for Elm Street Printing Company but not always - done
  • Ref 40 - should be a ndash, not a hyphen - done
    • Also Ref 216 - done
  • Ref 117 has an odd character in it still before "Murtha for Congress" - I don't see it
  • Ref 212 is in ALLCAPS- done
  • Ref 214 has ".." - That's because the publisher has "Inc." and the cite web format places a period after the publisher field. I don't see anything that we can do about that'
    • Well, the obvious answer is to remove the "." after "Inc" so that you just have the period generated by cite web. BencherliteTalk 07:27, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
      • But that would result in the citation having erroneous information, (i.e. listing the publisher as "Sports Reference LLC" rather than the correct "Sports Reference LLC." This problem actually occurs everywhere the publisher has a "Co." as well.
  • Ref 227 - space after "Hupp" and capital "C" for "Company" - done
  • Ref 228 has two lots of quotation marks - done
  • Ref 237 - should be a space after the colon - done

Business

edit
  • Clark - spare space after "present" needs to be removed - done
  • Vilar - his article mentions a conviction in Feb 2010 so check for accuracy - done

Arts

edit
  • Foster - should be "19th-century"; - done
  • Foster - "kicked out" is too informal for an encyclopedia ("expelled"?)- done

Athletics

edit
  • Philbin - "present" not "Present" - done

Theology

edit
  • AH Ewing - "namesake" isn't the word; you want something like "Ewing Christian College is named after him"
    • Same thing with Greer - unless of course this is some US English turn of phrase that I'm unfamiliar with as a UK editor? (Same thing in Beaver in the State Governors section)
      • Unless I am mistaken, I think that "namesake" works in those situations...at least in American English.
  • I think we can delink India in the Ewings- done
  • McKinney - missing "of"? - done

Other

edit
  • Delany - inconsistent hyphenation of "African(-)American" (and check this throughout the list)- done
  • No need to link "United States" in Delaney, or in Helfer- done
  • Where in Ref 235 do I find that Delaney was "arguably the first proponent of American black nationalism"? - I added a new ref for that, just to make it explicit
  • Schwartzbach - "high-profile" - done

That's all for now, I think. BencherliteTalk 00:15, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
