FAC directors consider that at least three user notify him that his point of view is not a reliable source. If he cannot understand the difference between single (music), music download and promotional single, and that information goes via reliable sources, is not fault of this nomination. @SunCreator, Wikipedia is not a democracy and opposing because you want me to add original research will lead you to be blocked as User:56tyvfg88yju. Actually, what is required is to remove original research not add it! Regards, SunCreator (talk) 02:58, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
It is, according to your understanding of this every song that has been released since 2007 in the UK is automatically a single. The key word on that source is official. In your understanding of that work all songs on Born This Way are singles, because "they were released via digital download". If the reason is that they charted, "Misses Glass" and "Monster" are singles, of course, according to you.
You want me to add no date with a poor pathetic understanding of the word "Single" just because "it charted before that date!", "I bought it before that date" and "I have no sources claiming it was released before 20/1, but it was, I know, it is correct because we, in England, catalogue everything released via download as single, even when it was not officially released as one". I am not searching your support SC, and I do not want it, somebody that never reviewed the work, and oppose due something that do no liked it is not worthy. If you believe this is not a GA, as you said, click this. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 03:18, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I do not claim every song that has been released since 2007 in the UK is automatically a single. Rather, everything that has charted on the UK singles chart had been released prior to it's charting - because the Official Charts Company first gathers a release date and enforces it(page13). And BTW this article you link to is entirely correct. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 04:16, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
You are incorrect in the analysis of those articles. Prior to those changes, only physical single sales counted towards chart compilation data. After the changes songs could enter the chart "from the moment they become available as official downloads". There is nothing about them becoming singles. If you had looked as the pdf link provided above you would of already seen on page 3 that digital downloads were integrated into the Official UK Singles Chart alongside physical CD singles on Sunday 17th April 2005. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 05:46, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Nowhere it says that they immediately became singles. It says only that DD songs have the same chances to chart that one released physical. Nothing else. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 05:48, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Agreed on those last bits. Situation however is that it cannot chart before it's released. And in the case of Halo it charted in the UK months before it was released! Hence, the articles contents are illogical, and likely comes from quoting a physical release date(the sony) source as the release date completely ignoring that it was released as a download, both on it's own and as an album track. Anyway, I'm going to leave it now. There has been no constructive attempts to listen or improve the article by the nominator. It's pretty obvious to anyone with an open mind that takes the time that the article contains original research. The article is poorly researched and in the infobox alone has four seperate problems. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 06:12, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK, I think you are referring to its initial release date, not the single release? If so, sorry for the misunderstanding, but that is irrelevant as the infobox refers to the single release. I believe that the lead is clear enough on this matter "for her third studio album I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008)..released the song as the fourth single of the album...on January 20, 2009". Adabow (talk · contribs) 06:19, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
This could be trivially fixed by noting it as "officially released as a single" or something before the latter date. SunCreator is actually dead on that no song can appear in the UK singles chart unless the publisher has registered it officially with the UK singles chart. On the other hand the various sources I looked into are clear; it was not available as a single in the UK in any form till April. --Errant (chat!) 13:58, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Check for example Number 40 on TOP 40 OFFICIAL UK SINGLES for 14th March 2009 for some idea on how was not availble until April checks out. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 09:44, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I think everyone understands that a song can chart from album tracks. The point is that the release date refers to the single release. The article is very clear that the album was released in 2008, but the single was released on January 20, 2009. Reader's aren't thick, and they get that the song was accessible as an album track prior to this date. Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:54, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't seem you are following the conversation. My oppose is because the UK date given in the article is April 13, 2009. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 03:10, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
