Duplication detector seems to be broken

edit

@Dcoetzee: I tried to compare two Wikipedia pages, but all that I got was an error message. Will this issue be fixed soon? Jarble (talk) 17:41, 13 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Moonriddengirl: The creator of this tool (Dcoetzee) appears to be banned from all Wikimedia websites. Is anyone else still maintaining it? Jarble (talk) 17:43, 13 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Jarble. User:Jamesofur has helped out. The issue here, however, may be related to the size of the documents and the degree of overlapping content. It had no difficulty comparing apples and oranges, or comparing human rights in Iran to oranges. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:47, 13 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Moonriddengirl: Until the issues with this tool are fixed, we can compare two pages using ChangeDetector instead. Jarble (talk) 17:52, 13 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
