Thanks/Gràcies/Mercés, by the way I don't intend to be rude or anything, so I beg to apologize if the following question might raise eyebrows/concerns or even problems, but I would like to know if the Indian scripts weigh much more than the Latin script because of the different length of the articles I can see between the Latin script articles and the Indian ones, thank you! On m:List of Wikipedias by sample of articles there is a "weight" value to compare article size of different Wikipedias. It may help. --Vriullop (talk) 11:59, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi and thanks. Well, I think I probably was not precise enough. Now to be sure I won't be misunderstood I will try to put things more clearly. What I meant is that I was surprised, or let's say puzzled, when I saw the swift progression of the Bengali user, namely Ankan Ghosh Dastider. You see, if I compare his (/her?) version of Pompeu Fabra (bn: পম্পেঁউ ফাব্রা), which is 12858b long, to the Occitan one, oc:Pompeu Fabra, which is currently 8,293, this last one seems (much) longer (the Catalan version, ca:Pompeu Fabra, probably the most complete, is just 12,366 long), and also considering it could reproduce/be a translation of the English version which is 6,184, there seems to be a pretty wide gap between the versions, so my idea, though I might prove wrong, is that each Bengali character weighs more than their Latin counterpart; which obviously will make it easier to reach high numbers. Thanks, take care, Claudi/Capsot (talk) 12:41, 27 March 2014 (UTC) PD: Seems I was right since the following words, পম্পেঁউ ফাব্রা, which is Antoni Gaudí's name in Bengali weighs 42k, while it is just 15K in the Roman script...
