Just keeping this here for reference:

Birthday Committee Bulletin Board

I just have a few general announcements for all BDC members. I (Steveo2) will be signing all messages that I wrote, and Mr. Turcotte will sign all of his announcements when he takes over, in order to avoid confusion.

  • I've removed some old announcements, assuming that you've seen them by now. If not, you can always look at the archive found at Wikipedia:Birthday Committee/Bulletin Archive Steveo2
  • So, I'll be away in about a week, and Mr. Turcotte will be replacing me as leader from June 14 to September 10, as you probably know by now. I'm probably going to (citing the 25th Amendment) reclaim my position when I come back. Anyway, he knows who to pass it on to if he changes his mind, so it's all good. Steveo2
  • First, I've changed the rules for new birthday templates. You only need my approval if the template is drastically different from the ones already existing. (Just to be clear, I realize I have no right to dictate which templates you can make and keep. However, only the ones I approve will appear on the Wikipedia:Birthday Committee page. Steveo2
  • We have a new member: Butterflys. Be sure to welcome her if you get the chance. Steveo2
  • If you'd like, you may post on this bulletin board. It's found on Template:BDC Bulletin 1. You may use it to suggest new policy changes, or anything else you think is too important to only go on the talk page. Sign all announcements that you add. Steveo2
  • Thank you to GeorgeMoney for helping out with all of the templates. (Which, I might add, were his idea in the first place.) Steveo2
  • The next member birthday is:Mr. Turcotte (June 25). nathanrdotcom's is July 3, not too far after that. Steveo2
  • Thanks to everyone who gave me birthday wishes on June 6. (Hey, Thistheman, where do you live? You're always, by far, the first one to give everyone a message. Including me.) Steveo2
  • Since the creation of the 1st template on April 27, over 60 members have gotten birthday messages from us. The 50th person to receive a birthday message from us was Jnothman, on June 5, 2006. The message was sent by Thistheman at 4:40 UTC that day. I really think we're doing a great job, and I'd like to sincerely thank all of you. Steveo2
  • I'm sorry that the archive for this bulletin is getting out of date. I'm getting pretty busy now, and it might be a long while before I do it. Sorry. Steveo2
